Coaches’ Information
Required Documentation
In order to compete in the 2024 Football and Cheer Season, Central Mass Youth Football and Cheer (CMYFCC) requires the following documentation:
Certified Birth Certificate
- If your child was with us in fall 2023, you do NOT need to provide this again. Please confirm with your grade level representative to confirm that we have your certified birth certificate.
- If you are new to our program, the league requires an original birth certificate with a raised seal. This will be returned to you in August once certified by CMYFCC and will not need to be provided again.
- A birth certificate can be purchased at the town/city hall of your child’s birth and the town that your child lived in at birth. For example, if your child was born in a Framingham hospital and you lived in Hudson at the time, your child’s birth certificate is available at the Framingham Town Hall and Hudson Town Hall. The cost is usually $10.
Medical Clearance
You need to provide ONE of the following:
- Paperwork from a physical that occurred in 2024. Must include verbiage that the child is cleared for sports.
- Medical Clearance Form from your doctor – If you choose the medical clearance form above, you can fax or email to your doctor’s office and then go pick it up. It should not require an appointment with your doctor.) 2024 Medical Clearance Form HYFC
Report Card
A copy of your child’s report card from the end of the school year. This is to confirm town residency as well as be qualified for CMYFCC scholarships
Signed Documents
There is documentation that is required to be signed by guardians and athletes. HYFC will provide the documents to be signed.

Conditioning Requirement
Safety is our number one priority, therefore we require all tackle football athletes to complete 10 hours of conditioning with their team. These practices will be without pads, and must be completed before any player is allowed to participate in any contact type drills. There are no exceptions to this rule and external activities/sports will not be allowed as a substitute to these conditioning hours. ***ALL 10 HOURS MUST BE COMPLETED WITH THE TEAM***
Practice Days
Practices will be 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) through Labor for 2 hours. After Labor Day, practices will drop to 2-3 days per week depending on the grade level.
Practive days are subject to change based on inclement/extreme weather.
Games
The CMYFCC Jamboree will be held on August 18th in Marlboro. Times are TBD.
Regular Season Games will begin the weekend of August 24th/25th (please note that we do play regular season games over Labor Day Weekend as directed by CMYFCC).
Teams will play one game per week, typically on Saturday or Sunday, all of which are determined by the final schedule posted by CMYFCC.

Commitment to Safety
ALL HYFC Football Coaches are certified American Youth Football Coaches. They must complete a series of certifications prior to the first practice each season. All teams are required to have a certified first responder as part of their coaching staff that must be present at every tackle practice and game.
