Coaching with Hudson Youth Football & Cheer
Our program is built on a commitment to helping young athletes grow—both on and off the field—through the fundamentals of football and cheerleading, while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun.
As a coach, you play a critical role in shaping not just athletes, but confident, respectful, and community-minded individuals. We expect all coaches to foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where every participant can develop to the best of their ability.

Registration Checklist
1. Complete Coach Registration
All coaches for the 2026 fall football and cheer programs must complete the official registration process. This ensures we have accurate contact information, role assignments, and eligibility on file before the season begins.
2. Submit Required Forms
Print & Complete:
- Image Release
- Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release of Liability
- Coaches Code of Conduct
- Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Acknowledgement
All forms must be completed in full prior to participation.
3. Complete Required Trainings
All coaches are required to complete the necessary certifications and training courses for the 2026 season. These trainings are designed to promote athlete safety, proper coaching techniques, and a positive experience for all participants.
All coaches are required to print and submit their certificate upon completion of each training.

An introductory certification course that teaches new and returning coaches the core responsibilities, safety principles, and fundamental skills and tactics needed to effectively coach a youth football team. New Head Coaches & Assistant Coaches MUST be Human Kinetics/Coaching Youth Football the AYF Way Certified.

CPR Certification / Recertification
We’re currently planning a CPR certification and recertification session for June. The exact time and location are still being finalized, but we wanted to give you this heads-up so you can save the date.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Every team must have at least one certified coach, so we are requiring every head coach to be certified or recertified.
- We strongly encourage all staff members to get certified – the more, the better.
- CPR certification is valid for 2 years, so:
- If you were certified in 2025, you’re still covered.
- If you were certified in 2024 or earlier, or never certified, you must recertify this year.
- These certifications are part of the required paperwork process prior to the season.
A follow-up email will be sent confirming the date, time, and location, but please plan ahead!
